Downtown is going green for good luck

Post Date:03/10/2021 10:00 AM

LeprechaunSan Jose Downtown Association (SJDA) is helping downtown businesses find that pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, and pulling out all the stops for St. Patrick’s Day, March 12 through 17. Many of the merchants from San Pedro Square to the Pavilion and Paseo de San Antonio are offering specials, which can be checked out on the SJDA site.

A special arch of San Jose love will be placed in San Pedro Square, perfect for selfies, and you might just spot Lucky the Leprechaun hiding in more than 30 merchants downtown. A photo with Lucky is all you need to enter to win a gift card at one of the participating businesses.

A tradition that started with the illumination of facades for the holiday season continues for St. Patrick’s Day between March 12 and 17 – once the sun sets, look for the special light shows on building facades at these locations:

  • Security and Leticia Buildings at 70 S. First St.
  • Twohy Building at 210 S. First St.
  • The Pavilion at 150 S. First St.
  • Circle of Palms on S. Market Street.
  • Post Street between S. Market and S First streets
  • San Pedro Square
