
The City of San Jose has a single convenient point of entry for your organization to view and apply for active City of San Jose grant opportunities. Please pre-register your organization into the system. Once your registration has been approved, you will be able to view and apply for City Grants as they become available. WebGrants will also generate email alerts on the status of each application throughout the submission cycle. We have pre-registered over 200 of the City’s returning grantees into the system. The following City of San Jose Grant opportunities are included in WebGrants:
Council Grants (City Clerk’s Office): Comprised of two grant programs: The Hewlett Packard (HP) Grant Program, which awards
monies to organizations that serve the educational, recreational or cultural needs of the residents of San Jose; and The Constituent Outreach
Grants awarded to serve the purposes of communicating with constituents, conducting informal surveys to elicit constituent priorities and to
support special event communications.
General Fund (Citywide): Funds awarded to Community Based Organizations that support and supplement services provided by City Service
Areas.
San Jose After School-Homework Center (Parks, Recreation and Neighborhood Services): The focus of the program is to provide San Jose children
and youth homework assistance and tutoring, access to computers and related technology education and/or targeted skills training and other
related services, in a safe environment in the hours before and after school. Grants are awarded to public school districts, community
based organizations include private schools with 501(c) 3 status, California Secretary of State registration and a City of San Jose business
license.
WIA Grants (work2future): The program focuses on offering a comprehensive range of workforce development
services free of charge to adults and youth seeking to enhance their job-seeking skills. Services are provided at One-stop centers located in
San Jose, Campbell and Gilroy, California. www.work2future.biz
