NEW TEA CHANGES COMING SOON
On September 7,2007, the Department of Housing and Community Development released the application for new Targeted Employment Areas (TEA). Recent legislation AB 1550 requires all Enterprise Zones that obtained a TEA prior to the availability of the 2000 US census data, to update their TEA boundaries. San Jose has submitted an application to the state and is waiting for final approval. The State TEA authorization is expected in early 2008. New TEA address ranges and maps are not available at this time. In the meantime, the State will allow businesses to continue using the current TEA street addresses and map until the new TEA is approved.

San Jose Receives a New 15-Year Enterprise Zone Designation

Authorization of the new EZ boundaries are expected to be completed by the state in December 2006 and official EZ maps and street ranges will be available at that time.
