  A Palm-lined PlazaENTERPRISE ZONE INCENTIVES
Businesses located in San Jose's Enterprise Zone, an 10-square mile state-designated area , are eligible for significant state tax savings and other benefits.

SPECIAL INCENTIVE PROGRAM
The Special Incentive Program provides incentives to developers to expedite tenant improvement (TI) projects in vacant buildings, to make the space ready for quick occupancy for industrial and R&D office uses. Financial incentives include: construction tax suspension, plan check fee deferrals, phased project building permit fee payment plans, one stop permit process, expedited plan check, and enhanced inspection services.

HISTORIC LANDMARK TAX DEDUCTION
The California Mills Act of 1972 enables the City to enter into a Historical Property Contract with the owner of a City Landmark. The contract allows an owner of a City Landmark to obtain property tax reductions for agreeing to maintain the City Landmark. Property owners of City Landmarks may apply for a Historical Property Contract by contacting the City of San Jose Department of Planning, Building and Code Enforcement. Start by providing a property address and Assessor's Parcel Number (APN) to determine if the property is listed on the Historic Resources Inventory.
