BUSINESS COOPERATION PROGRAM
The Business Cooperation Program provides businesses a rebate of up to 30% on the local portion of the State collected Use Tax subsequently remitted to the City as a result of the business entering the State’s Use Tax Direct Pay Permit program or allocating Use Tax attributed to acquisition of construction materials in San Jose. ENTERPRISE ZONE INCENTIVES
Businesses located in San Jose's Enterprise Zone, an 10-square mile state-designated area , are eligible for significant state tax savings and other benefits.

HISTORIC LANDMARK TAX DEDUCTION
The California Mills Act of 1972 enables the City to enter into a Historical Property Contract with the owner of a City Landmark. The contract allows an owner of a City Landmark to obtain property tax reductions for agreeing to maintain the City Landmark. Property owners of City Landmarks may apply for a Historical Property Contract by contacting the City of San Jose Department of Planning, Building and Code Enforcement. Start by providing a property address and Assessor's Parcel Number (APN) to determine if the property is listed on the Historic Resources Inventory.
